A Day Off…

***For some reason, my post yesterday didn’t transmit to subscribers, so if you missed it (and want to read it), you can find it here***

When I began the Runner’s World Holiday Streak, I wasn’t 100% sure I’d be able to complete it.

And then when G’s father passed away and I was on a flight to Chicago, I was about 90% sure I would not complete it.  But I kept running.

Total Miles: 77.96

Total Streak: 26 days

Amazing.

We made it home Sunday and I had my first day off from running yesterday.  It was nice not to HAVE to go for a run, but doing this streak made me realize that I’ve basically been just a complete lazy f*cker for the last few years.

Hmm, isn’t that interesting?

And reading SUAR’s Sunday post called You Ain’t Cool Unless… about making excuses seriously reiterated that fact.  I’m not the best runner and I certainly do not have a runner’s build, but I can run…and even ran for 26 days in a row.

Not a bad way to end 2011.

    I’m super-proud of you…and you’ve inspired me. I’m on Day 7 of my own streak (only I haven’t told anyone–until now–that I’m streaking, just in case I can’t make it.

WOW, that’s a heck of a lot of miles….and a lot of days in a row! GREAT job!
